Statement of Faith of Beraca International Rescue Ministry

    Inerrancy

  • We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally and fully inspired by God, without error in the original writings; That the Bible is the final and supreme authority in the matter of the faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pe 1:2-21; Ps. 19:8.)
  • The Trinity

  • We believe in one eternal God existing in three persons equally omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; 26; Matt. 3:16-17; 28: 19; John 10: 30;14:16).
  • Christology

  • We believe that Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, is truly Man. He lived a perfect life and died in sufficient atonement for the sin of the world. He rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God where He is the only Mediator and High Priest of believers. (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:39; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Timothy 2:5.)
  • Eschatology

  • We believe in the personal, bodily, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. The church that is his body will be caught up to meet him in the air, before the Tribulation and before his second coming to establish his millennial Reign on earth. (1 Th. 4:13-18).

    Pneumatology

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit has a personality; that He convicts men of sin; that He baptize those who believe in the Saviour at the moment of their conversion; that He leads them into all truth; that He dwells in believers to guide them to a victorious life over sin; that he seals for redemption; and that He bestows upon them spiritual gifts, some of which were temporary, such as those of healings and speaking in tongues. (John 16:7-15; Romans 8:9; 1 Cor. 2:9-14; 6: 19-20; 12: 1-30; 13: 8-11; 14: 20-22; Ephesians 1:13-14)
  • On Satan

  • We believe in Satan's reality, that he is a person; the enemy of God and man (Job 1:6-7); that he is not all-powerful, and that his fate is already cast.
  • The Fall

  • We believe that man was created innocent, but by his voluntary act of sin, spiritual and physical death has spread over all men. He is entirely unable to save himself, but through faith in Christ's sacrifice he can be saved and justified (Rom 3:23, 24; 5:12; Acts 13:38-39)
  • Eternal Security

  • We believe in the safety and eternal happiness of the redeemed (John 10:28; 16:28-29;17:24; Rom. 8:18)
  • Eternal Damnation

li>We believe in the eternal punishment of the lost in the Lake of Fire that has been prepared for the Devil and his angels (Rev. 20:11-15).
